Total Beginner West Coast Swing

Service Description

Sophisticated Swing, as this dance was once commonly called, is a slot dance that could just as easily be slow and bluesy as it could be quick and very highly paced. The widest availability of music will be found here, from contemporary to 1930s and beyond. WCS has always been danced to popular music: Swing, Jazz, Country, Blues, Bebop, Rock n Roll, R&B, Soul, Funk, Disco, Rock, Hip Hop and EDM have all had there time in the pop charts. No experience is required or expected in this series, however it is recommended that participants have some partner dance experience in general (ballroom, rhythm, country, etc) as this dance is slightly more involved in frame and musicality.

Book a session up to twelve hours in advance. Cancel or reschedule 24 hours in advance to not lose class credit.
